Student Engagement and Employment


The Center for Student Wellbeing employs enthusiastic, outgoing, motivated and health-conscious students to work with us. All positions support our mission by promoting health and well-being through a variety of opportunities and tasks. Those applying will need to be comfortable providing outreach, support and education around sensitive health and well-being topic.

Intern/Practicum

If you are an Emory student looking for internship or practicum opportunities as part of a course or degree requirements, reach out to a member of the team whose work aligns with your interests to discuss options.  

Undergraduate Student Employment

Our office hires undergraduate students based on departmental needs.  When positions areavailable, they are posted on Emory’s Handshake as part of the Federal Workstudy Program.  

Peer Health Educators

Peer Health Educators (PHE), are student leaders who help create a healthier, more connected Emory. Through fun events, honest conversations, and campus outreach, PHEs empower their peers to take care of their minds, bodies, and relationships. Applications open in early Spring for the following academic year. 

Graduate Assistantships

The Center for Student Wellbeing partners with Rollins School of Public Health to hire Graduate Assistants through the Rollins Earn and Learn Program (REAL). Graduate Assistants support the mission of the Center for Student Wellbeing by implementing programs and initiatives that focus on behavior change and harm reduction in several areas, including (but not limited to) sexual health, alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse prevention, mental well-being, stress and sleep. They assist the team using evidence-informed practices in the fields of public health and student affairs that are designed to promote healthy behaviors and decision making across the campus community, as well as promote positive social change.  

Positions and duties vary by academic year and applications are accepted through the REAL program in August each year.
