The modules will be available in early August for all incoming, first-year Emory students (including transfer students) to access. You will receive information, including the links, on how to access the course in your Emory email. Emails will come from @safecolleges.com.  Be sure to check your junk/spam folders and “other” tab  for the invitation as well. 

The modules are available to incoming Graduate and Professional students on a rolling basis depending on your program start date. Please check with your school for information regarding dates. All incoming students must finish Part 1 of AlcoholEdu and SAP-U before arriving on campus for move in. Once you finish Part 1, you will receive an email to indicate that you are in "Intersession," which lasts for six weeks. At the end of this time, you will be sent another email invitation to complete Part 2 for both modules. Please check course pages for specific deadline dates.

All incoming graduate and professional students must finish SAP-G Part 1 by the deadline specified by your program. If you are unsure of the deadline, please ask the Deputy Title IX Coordinator in your program. 
Once you finish Part 1, you will receive an email to indicate that you are in "Intersession," which lasts for six weeks. At the end of this time, you will be sent another email invitation to complete SAP-G Part 2. This second part must be completed by the deadline specified in the email. 

Approximately 6 weeks after you complete Part 1 of each course, you will receive another invitation in your Emory email with a link to complete Part 2. You will not be able to access Part 2 until you receive the email invitation. 

Failure to complete AlcoholEdu, SAP-U or SAP-G by the appropriate deadline will result in a hold being placed on your account. The hold will prevent you from registering for classes for the Spring semester. If you miss the Part 2 deadline, you will still be able to access and take the course after this time. Please take it as soon as possible. Please allow two business days before the hold is released off your account. 

If you believe that you are receiving reminders in error, please send an email with your name, and NetID to csw@emory.edu. Please allow 48 hours for a response.

Yes, all first-time Emory University students, including transfer students, must complete the AlcoholEdu and SAP-U modules. While much of the information may be a review, there are policies and resources specific to Emory that you will need to know. Completing these modules as a new student to Emory will allow you to learn more about how Emory is working to support students to make healthy choices and create a safe community. 

Yes, all Emory University graduate and professional students must complete the SAP-G course. While much of the information may be a review for you, there are policies and resources specific to Emory University that you should know. Completing SAP-G as a new graduate or professional student to Emory will allow you to learn more about how Emory is working to make our campus safe. 

It is possible that something you read during the training will evoke an emotional response, whether or not you have experienced violence or trauma yourself. The Office of Respect can provide additional support to students who are emotionally impacted by the material. To contact the Office of Respect please call 404-727-1514 or visit us on campus in AMUC 110 from 9 am -5 pm for less urgent needs please email us repect@emory.edu . Additionally there are 24/7 national support resources such as RAINN, National Suicide Hotline, and the National Domestic Abuse Hotline are linked in the training. 

Do not use any other email address besides your Emory email and Emory NetID. You may not receive credit for the course if you use any other email address. 

You may take the course in multiple settings, but make sure you click the “next” button after completing a section before logging out. If you do not progress to the next section first, you will have to repeat the previous section. 

You will have access to this information throughout the year. All of the resources will be available to you for reference or for a refresher if you need.
